EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT FACTOR
THE KEY TO AN ORGANIZATIONS GREATEST ASSET

Build Turnover Immunity and Develop Leaders

What is an organization's greatest asset?

PEOPLE

Sure most will give you this answer... But actions speak louder than words.

So how do organizations ensure the potential of this asset is fully utilized?

Consider an employees value. What do they have to offer? What is their potential output for business?

This is not the full equation. Sure an employee has the potential to add a specific amount of value to an organization but their true output is almost never 100% of their potential.

This is where Employee Engagement enters the equation. An employee's true output is directly proportional to their level of engagement. Call this their Engagement Factor (EE). An employee's output can be shown as a function of their potential and Engagement Factor.

Potential x EE = Output

Say an employee can produce $100,000 worth of business. This is assuming 100% engagement 100% of the time. We are all human. Even the top performers are not running at full capacity all the time.

What the research shows...

36% of employees report being fully engaged while at work.

13% of employees report being actively disengaged.

This results in and estimated $450-550 billion lost to disengaged workers every year in the USA.

Assume a more realistic baseline of 50% engagement for the employee...

Potential x EE = Output           $100,000 x 0.5 = $50,000

Compare this output to what a salary would be for an employee that is capable of producing $100,000 in business.

Ultimately regardless of how capable their employees are, performance is governed by their level of engagement.

This is why raising and maintaining Employee Engagement should be a primary focus for organizations.

Not only for financial reasons but cultural as well.

Happier and more driven employees have a higher engagement factor. The primary reasons employees enjoy stay at a specific job are the opportunity to make a difference, success, and fit with career asperations. Aligning operations with engagement in mind will inherently increase employee satisfaction as well!

Building and sustaining Employee Engagement will amplify all of the other positive aspects of your operations. It is the key to building positive momentum and breaking through to the next level of business!
